Each entity has
- Name and summary — the basics
- Tags — predefined vocabulary specific to the entity type
- Extra notes — freeform field for anything else
- Aliases / personas — alternate identities with optional reveal gating
- Entity pages — temporal snapshots of the entity's state at different eras
- Map placements — pin the entity on your world map
- Connections — cross-entity links with overlapping time ranges
Creating an entity
In the Codex sidebar, click the entity type you want, then + New. Name the entity and save — you're taken directly to the detail page where you can fill in all fields.
Navigating the Codex
The Codex sidebar shows all entity types with count badges. Click a type to see all entities of that kind, with a search bar and filter options. Click any entity to open its detail page.
Moving an entity to a different type
If you realize a character should be a Faction, or a Creature should be a Character, open the entity's detail page and use Reassign Type. The platform shows you which fields have data before you confirm, so nothing is silently lost.
