Content Policy
Effective Date: July 12, 2026
This Content Policy describes what content is permitted on The Stream Facility and our approach to moderation.
Permitted Content
The Stream Facility is a platform for creative writers. You may:
- Write original fiction in any genre
- Create fictional worlds, characters, and lore in your Codex
- Share works with beta readers for feedback
- Publish completed or in-progress works to the public lobby
- Collaborate through comments and the beta reading program
- Use AI writing assistance to develop your stories
Prohibited Content
The following content is not permitted on the Platform:
Illegal content: Content that violates applicable laws, including child sexual abuse material (which is reported to NCMEC), content that incites violence or terrorism, or content that constitutes criminal harassment or stalking.
Intellectual property infringement: Reproducing substantial portions of copyrighted works you do not own without authorization. Fan fiction and clearly transformative works are generally permitted provided they are properly labeled.
Doxxing and harassment: Publishing private personal information about real individuals without consent, or content designed to harass, intimidate, or harm a specific real person.
Spam and manipulation: Artificially inflating engagement metrics, creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, or submitting false DMCA takedown notices.
Impersonation: Creating an account or publishing content that falsely represents you as another person or organization.
Adult Content
Mature themes, violence, and adult content are permitted in fiction provided the work is appropriately labeled when sharing or publishing. Sexually explicit content involving minors is strictly prohibited regardless of fictional framing and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to relevant authorities.
Your Intellectual Property
You retain all intellectual property rights to content you create on the Platform. We will not use your creative works for any purpose beyond providing the service without your explicit permission.
Third-Party Intellectual Property
You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe third-party copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Platform infringes your intellectual property, please see our DMCA Policy.
Moderation
We reserve the right to remove content that violates this Policy and to suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or serious violations. We will generally notify you of moderation actions unless notification would impede a legal investigation or the safety of others.
