DMCA Policy

Effective Date: July 12, 2026

The Stream Facility respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

How to Submit a Takedown Notice

To be valid under the DMCA, your notice must include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized agent
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are covered by a single notice)
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with sufficient information for us to locate it (e.g., the URL or title of the work on the Platform)
  4. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Incomplete notices will not be processed.

Counter-Notice

If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to our DMCA Agent. Your counter-notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and its former location on the Platform
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district where your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notice

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the removed material.

Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA, we maintain a policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat copyright infringers.

Misrepresentation

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be subject to civil liability.
