Email notifications and the daily digest

Stream Facility sends transactional emails for important events and offers a daily digest for lower-priority updates.

Transactional emails

These are sent immediately when the event occurs and cannot be turned off:

• Account verification (on sign-up)
• Password reset
• Beta campaign approval confirmation (for readers)
• Beta campaign cancellation notice (for readers)
• Beta reader deadline warning (24 hours before expiry)

The daily digest

Instead of receiving an email for every notification, lower-priority events are batched into a once-daily digest:

• New followers
• Friend request approvals
• New reviews on your books
• Beta reader activity (new applications, comments)

Managing preferences

Go to Dashboard → Settings → Notifications to:

• Turn the daily digest on or off
• Choose which notification types appear in the digest vs. in real-time

Author mailing lists

Authors can collect email subscribers through their public profile and send newsletters. Subscriber lists can be managed directly on the platform or synced to an external provider via the author mailing list settings in your dashboard.
