Exporting Your Manuscript
Exporting Your Manuscript
Export your draft to Word (.docx), PDP, EPUB, Markdown or plain text from the Export tab in Studio.
Starting an Export
Open your draft in Studio and click Export in the toolbar. Configure the options and click Export.
Chapter Ordering
When your draft uses acts, chapters export in act-order: all chapters in Act 1, then Act 2, and so on. Within each act, chapters appear in the order you arranged them in the Plan view. Orphan chapters (not assigned to any act) are excluded from the export.
When acts are disabled, all chapters export in their Plan view order.
Chapter Numbering
Chapter labels in the exported document match the numbers shown in the Write view. If a chapter has an override name, that name is used instead of "Chapter N".
Scene Labels
If you have given a scene an override name, that name appears as a section divider between scenes in the export. Scenes without override names produce no extra label — content flows continuously from one scene to the next.
