Codex Entity Export

Export any codex entity as a standalone document to share with editors, collaborators, or keep as a reference outside the platform.

How to Export

Open any codex entity's detail page. Click the Export button in the page header (visible to the entity's author only). Choose PDF or Markdown and download.

What's Included

The export assembles all tabs into a single document:

• Profile — name, role, bio, life status
• Physical — race, appearance, portrait (PDF only)
• Skills, Roles & Traits
• Aliases — all name variants (reveal-gated aliases are included since this is an author export)
• Connections — linked entities with relationship labels
• Timeline — linked world events
• Entity Pages — all period pages in chronological order, each with its date range, bio, and period-specific fields

Export Formats

• PDF — formatted document with section headings, portrait image, and page breaks between sections
• Markdown — plain text with heading structure; suitable for pasting into external tools or version-controlled notes

Privacy

Exports are author-only — the Export button is not shown to readers or other users. Downloads are served directly to your browser and never posted to a public URL.
